The self-described and self-anointed World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the body responsible for many of the false claims underlying gender affirming care, is being sued in the US by four states and the Federal Trade Commission. One of the many malign ‘achievements’ of WPATH was validating gender affirming medical pathways, obliging medical insurance companies to pay for gender transition ‘treatments’. The victims of this medicalisation were mainly same-sex attracted teenagers and young adults.
