The UN Independent Expert on Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity is consulting on a report on violence and discrimination against lesbians. This would be welcome except he thinks men can be lesbians and has explicitly included them in his call for input.
Lesbian Persistence and Lesbian Labour have written a response objecting to that approach, which has been submitted by a coalition of lesbian organisations.
It explains how transgenderism actively harms lesbians, states why including men in the category of ‘lesbian’ cannot lead to lesbian-focused solutions, and asks the IE to change the basis of his proposed report.
